Joe DiMaggio was a legendary baseball player and a true American icon, born on Nov. 25, 1914 in Martinez, CA. One hundred years later, the Joe DiMaggio Hometown Hero Project was launched to celebrate and preserve his legacy through multiple initiatives.

The Project is staffed by volunteers,
allowing 100% of donations to go toward these initiatives.

These initiatives include establishing a Joe DiMaggio Museum, erecting a statue celebrating his immigrant heritage, and developing an interactive walking tour of DiMaggio-associated sites in Martinez. The Project also encompasses a mural, welcoming travelers to the birthplace of the iconic center fielder and an oral history project, capturing stories of Joe's impact on our lives.
